Our company, Metalcastello S.p.A., has launched a quality improvement project using process mining and machine learning techniques, aimed at testing the creation of a data lake based on Spark technology to collect and store various types of data, facilitate advanced analysis, provide easy and scalable access to data for various users, reduce the costs associated with managing large volumes of data, and analyze events related to all production work orders using process mining techniques. The analysis of the production process using these techniques will be of fundamental importance for studying potential correlations between work cycles and any product quality issues, thanks to the subsidies granted by MIMIT.
